Gruge and Vicki now have somewhere to go after Battery Avenue. The first playable campaign route connects the opening battle to a voiced story encounter, a new approach through Light Street and West Pratt, a safe Convention Center headquarters, and the B&O Roundhouse mission.
The story begins when the stage is actually cleared. The gate battle and remaining encounters must be finished, and both survivors must reach extraction alive. Mayor Scott wants evacuation routes opened; the possessed councilman Elias Rook orders the exits sealed and threatens him. After Rook leaves, the mayor joins the relief effort and points the pair toward Convention Center headquarters. The dialogue uses Edge TTS voices, with captions and pause and skip controls inside the game window.
The next combat route follows the Light Street waterfront toward West Pratt. Inside HQ, engineer Mara explains that alien siphon rigs are draining power from five relics tied to Baltimore’s past. The playable hall has its own empty interior painting, so Gruge and Vicki remain game sprites. HQ contacts, the city map and the gun store stay in the game’s menus.
The first anchor takes the pair west to the B&O Roundhouse at 901 West Pratt Street. Fight through its service yard and defeat the Switchmaster to recover the Drivewheel Coil. The Convention Center and roundhouse have separate native ImageGen middle and near layers, with the shared clear sky, moving weather and parallax presentation kept behind the action. The B&O route is inland; it does not reuse a harbor scene.
Bring the recovered coil back to Mara and restore it once. Both heroes gain a grounded dash with an eight-second recharge. It respects walls and vehicles, and it does not make either survivor invulnerable. The keyboard defaults are E for player one and Period for player two; controllers use RB, with the action available in the control bindings. Restoration also records the reopening of the west rail supply route in campaign progress.
Continue on the title screen restores your saved campaign location and completed milestones. Ordinary retries, returning to the title, replaying a cleared mission and skipping a story scene do not duplicate relic rewards. Starting a new campaign resets those milestones. Your progress is saved in this browser; gameplay inputs and live actor positions are not part of the save.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott appears as a fictional story cameo. Elias Rook is an invented character, and the relics and alien devices are part of the game’s fiction, rather than real museum holdings.
This is the first campaign slice, with one playable historic anchor. Poe House, Washington Monument, Douglass–Myers Maritime Park and Fort McHenry remain planned, alongside the wider 18-region city roster. The World Trade Center roof portal is the planned finale. Those entries are visible as future routes; the full city and the other four boss missions are still being built.
